After learning about Bill and reading his blog posts, it’s easy to see why opening a savings account is so important when it comes to smart money management.
E&A Credit Union offers two special savings accounts–Piggybank and Bonus Bills. Here’s a rundown of each account:
Piggybank Account
A simple savings account for children ages 0-12 years old, featuring no monthly fee. It earns quarterly dividends, which means you get money added to your savings based on how much is in your account every three months!
- Ages 0-12
- No monthly fee
- Earns quarterly dividends
- $5.00 minimum balance requirement – this acts as your E&A membership share!

Bonus Bills
Bonus Bills is a savings account just for teenagers (age 13-19). It’s just like a normal savings account, but way better! With this account, you have a chance at winning cool monthly and yearly prizes based on how much you save.
Here’s how it works: at the end of every month, every $25 increase in the balance will enter you into a drawing for a $50 Visa gift card! (For example, if your balance at the end of the month is $100 higher than at the beginning of the month, you would be entered into the drawing 4 times.)
In addition, your monthly prize entries also count toward a yearly grand prize–a brand new laptop!
- Ages 13-19
- No monthly fee
- $5.00 minimum balance requirement – this acts as your E&A membership share!
- Monthly & yearly prize drawings based on how you save
